Lee Bamsey’s innovative graphic design has been selected in an industry-wide competition to create the cover artwork for Televisual’s Facilities 50 issue. Lee created a design based on the QR code for the Televisual website. Normally, a QR code has the appearance of boring black and white blocks, but Lee took that inauspicious starting point and developed it into a design that was both pretty and functional.
If you download a QR reading App onto your smart phone, you can use the phone’s camera to scan the cover of Televisual magazine and it will automatically connect you to the Televisual home page. Lee’s clever image is repeated throughout the magazine this month, so you can use your QR scanner again and again.
Loco’s Head of Operations, Christian Williamson also submitted a design, which appears within the Facilities section of the magazine. He created a stencil of the number 50 and sprayed water to “paint” the numbers onto various textures, which he then photographed and adjusted in Photoshop. The image he chose to send in for the completion was taken on our street, Bateman’s Buildings.
